About the Role - Accounts Director

NationSwell is seeking an Accounts Director to oversee the development and execution of partnerships across storytelling, strategy, content, impact campaigns and events. The Accounts Director will be a leadership role within the NationSwell Impact Studio, which partners with mission-aligned companies and organizations to produce campaigns, content, and experiences that advance social impact efforts.

The Accounts Director will oversee partner deliverables, activate campaigns, lead the accounts team and coordinate across internal teams (business development, editorial, video, audience growth and the NationSwell Council). The ideal candidate will be passionate about creatively elevating stories of impact, delighting partners with flawless execution, and expanding NationSwell’s reach, offerings, and impact. A successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in account management, with core elements of marketing, movement building, and strategy. Prior experience in fast-paced startup environments a plus; love for social impact a must.


Responsibilities & How You’ll Contribute

Execution & Delivery: Senior leader on execution and delivery of partnership and sponsorship offerings across online campaigns, content, events, and expanding opportunities for activation of social impact initiatives

Business Development: Identify and shepherd opportunities to grow existing partnerships and/or renewing partnerships (tied to annual targets); collaborate with the business development team in concepting and scoping new partner opportunities

Strategy: Create and elevate strategy and creative ideas that lead to maximum campaign reach and impact

Team & Growth: Manage and grow accounts team (currently 2-3) through both external channels (hiring/contractors) and internal initiatives (professional development)

Ambassador: Serve as senior external NationSwell contact with partner project leads and senior organizational leads; including building + maintaining strong business relationships

Coordination: Manage internal and external timelines towards on-time delivery; including coordination across internal NationSwell teams

Accountability: Responsible for accurate resource (team!) planning and budget oversight, tracking costs and profit margins and crafting scopes of work
